Hi my name is Xien Tsao which is after a famous food from the area I was found in here in Taiwan.
I was found with a very badly injured led which in the end had to be amputated, so now I only have three legs. I was one of the easiest rescues for Animalstaiwan as I realized they wanted to help me, so I just ran to the lady and jumped in her car.

I don’t let the fact that I only have three legs get in the way of having fun. I’m a very active and outgoing little girl. I love affection but I’m not demanding. I’m very quiet and sometimes get overlooked as I don’t push myself on to people as my other friends here at Animalstaiwan do.

I love going on walks or just sitting around with people. When I go on walks I can’t walk too far as my three legs means my heart has to work a little harder than my four-legged friends. I would be a great companion for any family, with or without children. I’m house broken and I don’t bark when my owners aren’t around.

I would love to have the opportunity to go to the Netherlands where I here the grass is green and the sky is blue. I dream of one day being part of a family.

I would be most grateful if you could help me make my dreams come true.

Hi my name is Tripod, and yep you guessed it, it’s because I have three legs.
I was living on the side of a road when an Animalstaiwan volunteer came by and rescued me. I had part of my leg missing and the bone was sticking out. The vet decided it was much better for me to amputate my leg and now I’m living a very happy life with my three legs.

I’m a very laid-back calm dog. I’m very quiet but still like to cuddle. I also like to go out on walks, but the same as my other three-legged buddies I can’t walk too far or too fast as my heart has to work a little harder and it can be little difficult for me.

I can get a little nervous around people, but once I know you are a friend, I’ll love you forever.

I think I’m a very handsome young boy who would be an asset to any family. I’m hoping to have the chance to fly over to the Netherlands where they have more space and many people have gardens where I could just run around and rest when I wanted to.

So please help me and my buddies get to the Netherlands, I just know there are families waiting there for us.

Hello everyone, my name is Judy and I’m a special dog indeed. I was rescued after being hit by a car which left me almost paralyzed and unable to use my back legs properly. Now normally you would think that would stop me getting around, but not me. The wonderful people at Animalstaiwan got me a wheelchair and that means I can fly around just like any other dog.

I love affection and going on walks. I like to be at the front leading the way. I’m very fun loving and friendly; in fact I’m the most at home when there are people around.

I would love to have the chance to go to the Netherlands, not only because I’ve never been abroad, but also I hear the land there is much flatter which is perfect for me in my wheelchair. I just know I can break the doggie-land speed record if I have a good stretch of flat road.

Because of my injury I sometimes pee myself, especially if I’m excited, but if I’m taken out often enough that won’t be a problem.

Although I love being in my wheelchair, I still need time out of it as my front legs can get a little tired. All I need then is some nice smooth surfaces where I can relax and be loved.

So please help me get to the Netherlands, I know there is someone wonderful waiting for me there.

Hello everyone, my name is Hobbit. I’m a very gentle boy, who is sometimes a little shy. I don’t bark and sometimes other dogs bully me as I just don’t know how to stand up for myself.
I’m very calm and I would be a great companion for a family with kids or even an elderly couple who just want some company.

I was originally a street dog here in Taiwan, but unfortunately one day while I was wondering around the mountain areas of Wulai, I got my leg caught in one of those very painful Jin Traps. Unfortunately my leg couldn’t be saved so now I only have 3 legs. It doesn’t really bother me that much and I’m perfectly able to go on walks and get myself around. Although I can’t go on very long walks as my heart has to work a little harder than my four-legged buddies.

I would love to have the chance to go to the Netherlands and have a happy home with a family. Maybe they would even have a garden that I could run around in.

Hi my name is Elvis and I have the opportunity to go to the Netherlands.

I’m originally from Taiwan and was from very young wondering around the streets and beaches of Taipei. However, one day I was walking around minding my own business when I got my leg caught in a terrible contraption called a Gin Trap. This caused me a great deal of pain and I didn’t know what to do. Luckily a fantastic volunteer of Animalstaiwan saw me with the thing stuck on my leg and caught me. I was immediately taken to the hospital where it was decided that it would be much better for me if the leg was amputated. They didn’t have much hope for me as I was very thin and weak from the loss of blood and trauma. But I surprised everyone and now I’m walking around on 3 legs, bright, healthy and loving life.

I know what you are thinking, “Ahhhh poor thing!”, but don’t. I’m perfectly happy. I’m a very healthy dog and most of the time I don’t even realize I’m missing a leg.

I’m a very friendly guy. I love to get attention from people and I never show aggression. I walk very well on the lead and I often take the protector role when there is a new dog introduced to our centre who might need a little encouragement.

Due to my three legs, however, I can’t have too much strenuous exercise as my heart has to work a lot harder than a four-legged dog does. So nice easy walks around the flat lands of the Netherlands would suit me fine.

Hi everyone, my name is Al. I’m a very special dog indeed. When I was younger I had distemper which damaged my brain a little and made me walk a little funny. Some people say I walk like a little spider but don’t think this stops me getting around. I love going on short walks and can jump around and play with the best of my four-legged buddies.

I get on very well with both people and dogs. I don’t bark, but I do love a little attention.

Because of my funny walk, some people are afraid of adopting me, but I’m just like any other dog, except I’m special. I would suit any family, but would especially suit a more laid back family as very long walks are a little difficult for me and I’m not a great fast walker.

I am hoping to be able to go to the Netherlands where many people have gardens. Then I can run around and play to my hearts content.

If you could help me get to the Netherlands I would be most grateful. My dream would come true and I could give all my love to a family who deserves such a special little guy.

Hi my name is Norton and I’m fast, fun and free like my namesake the motorbike.

I was hit by a car a while back which means I lost most of my bottom jaw and had some nasty injuries to my legs. However, I don’t let any of that get in my way of living and loving life. I love to be brushed and have a good time with any of the visitors we get at the holding centre. I love going on walks and can get a little excited, but you just have to be firm with me, again just like my namesake.

I look a little strange sometimes with my tongue always hanging out because of the missing part of my jaw, but I think that makes me all the more adorable. I’m different from the rest and simply the best !!

I get on great with other dogs and even cats and I just want the chance to have a loving home. I promise I will return the love a hundred times over.

I would love to have the chance to go to the Netherlands. Long walks, breezy winds and someone who wants to enjoy it all with me.
